Environment Concept Art

I had my first go at creating environmental concept art. The theme I wanted to explore was a post-modern, lost civilization story. I looked at old abandoned Japanese theme parks and railways to help me reference what I wanted my world to look like. The images try to tell a story of our own modern civilization being discovered many centuries in the future by the current inhabitants of the planet.

It was also a chance to play around with perspective so I tried to give each image a different viewpoint. I felt like I improved my technique with each image I finished and improved my layer management or found out about a new drawing technique.

Probably one of the most enjoyable assignment I ever completed.
